Meet the Team at Walker Mobility
Founded in 1981, our family-owned and operated company focuses on providing excellent customer service. When you meet the team at Walker Mobility, you’ll see how our dedication to our clients helps us provide the best customer service every single day. Perhaps that’s why we have been the top scooter rental company in Orlando for over 30 years. Meet the people committed to making your vacation more enjoyable, below.
Having helped build the company from the ground up, John is very much a hands on executive. A third generation entrepreneur, John exudes integrity, passion, and commitment to the scooter business model his family pioneered in Central Florida decades ago. Spending the last two decades working with Walt Disney World Resorts, Universal Studios, and other Orlando area hotels, John facilitates guests needs and commits to an excellent customer service protocol. An American scooter manufacturer has regularly sought development advice from John, and his working knowledge of scooters has been pivotal to Walkers’ growth and long term sustainability. John graduated from Flagler College with a Bachelors degree and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Robert founded Walker Mobility (formerly known as Walker Medical & Mobility Products) in 1981, focusing on providing excellent customer service to clients. He maintained these high standards for more than two decades until retiring in 2008. Robert sold the business to his son, John R. Walker and periodically works as a knowledgeable consultant, staying close to the business. Prior to founding Walker Mobility, Robert grew up in the supermarket business. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Graceland University and went on to graduate from the University of Louisville School of Law. He worked in sales for the Xerox Corporation and Oscar Mayer, as well as practicing law. He used his background of meeting people face-to-face as a guiding principle of his career. Robert has been a member of the Florida Bar Association since 1977. He was also a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Second Harvest Food Bank in Orlando. He has been married to his grade school sweetheart for 47 years and is active in his church.
As General Manager, Samantha oversees day-to-day functions of the organization. She began working in her father’s restaurants at age 10 and brings a “know how to get it done” approach. Born in England and having lived in France, Samantha excels in client relations and employee management. Outside of work, she enjoys family, friends and riding her horses.
Bill Stair is the Director of all equipment technical servicing here at Walker Mobility. He brings with him 15 years of airplane fabrication and restoration. This skill enables him to maintain our equipment to aviation standards. Since joining Walker Mobility, the equipment fleet has never been more dependable and visually pleasing. Our scooter manufacturer, Ranger Scooters, values Bill’s feedback immensely. Bill and his team maintain and service Central Florida’s largest rental fleet of scooters, wheelchairs, and strollers. Among his outside interests, you can find him at the gun range, riding one of his motorcycles, or spending time with his grand kids.
